Masters Rowing

Masters (18+ Adult Rowing)

The Masters Rowing Program offers ongoing rowing opportunities for individuals with prior rowing experience in the community. The program is flexible and encourages graduates of Learn-to-Row, High School, and College teams to continue instructional rowing or to train as part of a competitive crew team. Practice times vary with individual crews. In general, sculling and sweep crews row from late spring to mid-to-late fall. The crews row most often in the early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Membership is paid annually, and we offer tiers based on student status, family membership, and individual membership. Membership runs each year from April 1st to March 31st of the following year. If you register anytime after April 1st, your membership will be valid through March 31st of the next year.

If you have not rowed before, you will need to complete a Learn to Row class - more information below under "Adult Learn to Row".

Registration is available soon and will be posted here
Individual Membership $500
Family Membership $900
Student Membership Full Year (current college students only) $250
College Student Summer Only (June 1 - August 31) $150

Adult Learn to Row

The Masters Learn-to-Row Program aims to offer introductory rowing lessons for beginners in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Lessons focus on proper technique and safety on the Ohio River. We teach a variety of aspects involved in the rowing world, including sculling (two oars), sweeping (one oar), indoor rowing (using the Concept 2 ergometer), and coxing (the eyes and brain of the boat, steering and instructing rowers during practices).

This series of classes will cover the basics of rowing, including safety and teamwork with other rowers. The goal is that by the end of the class, you will have sufficient working knowledge to transition into our other recreational and racing boats. (Yes, you can race, too!)

Once you complete the class, you will be a full member of the club and able to row in all boats that go out, or on your own in a single.
